We were delighted to see the installation of Solo Radiators on a recent episode of RTE’s Room to Improve. In Series 8, Episode 5, architect Dermot Bannon was given the difficult task of reconfiguring and extending a 1970’s architect-designed home outside Mullingar in Westmeath for Sally-Ann, Trevor and their four chlldren. As can be seen from the photographs below, Sally-Ann and Trevor succeeded in their dream of modernising Sally-Ann’s childhood home.

We managed to catch up with Sally-Ann and Trevor this week to find out how the Solo Radiators are working for them. Trevor explained to us that the type of heating system was a very important consideration for them during the design phase as the house was previously very difficult to heat due to the size of the rooms combined with high ceilings. A local plumber who had installed Solo Radiators in a number of houses recommended their benefits, particularly for use in large rooms. The couple are pleased with their choice, particularly due to the quick response time of the Solos, which means that their home is warm just 15 minutes after switching the heating on.

We wish Sally-Ann, Trevor and their family many warm years in their newly renovated home.
